Genuine Gemsbok Skull. The gemsbok, gemsbok or South African oryx (Oryx gazella) is a large antelope in the genus Oryx. It is native to the arid regions of Southern Africa, such as the Kalahari Desert. Some authorities formerly included the East African oryx as a subspecies. That is why we used a tape to keep it in place.For size comparison please look at the photo of the red hartebeest skull next to oryx, blesbok and wildebeest. That is a good way to visualize the size difference between these animal skulls.Both horns are detachable for easy shipping. Comes with a metal bracket on the back for easy wall hanging. Please note the skull has all teeth (see all photos).
